Other

I am a Reader (Associate Professor) at the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen’s University Belfast, UK. I am the Head of the ElectroMagnetic Imaging and Sensing (EMIS) Lab in the Centre for Wireless Innovation. I am also an Adjunct Professor at Duke University, USA. I have previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory - California Institute of Technology and Duke University.

My research interests include antennas and propagation, microwave and millimeter-wave imaging, metasurfaces and reconfigurable apertures, wireless power transfer and antenna measurement techniques. I have authored more than 250 peer-reviewed technical journal and conference articles, and served as a Technical Program Committee Member / Guest Editor of several conferences and journals in these fields. I have been Principal Investigator / Co-Investigator on research grants totaling in excess of £15M in these fields, competively funded by the Leverhulme Trust, ESPRC, UKRI, DSTL, DCMS, EU, British Council and industry.

I am the recipient of several awards, including an Outstanding Postdoc at Duke University Award (2017), Duke University Professional Development Award (2017), NASA Postdoctoral Program Award (2018), Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award (2020, £1M), Young Scientist Award from the Electromagnetics Academy - Photonics and Electromagnetics Research Symposium (2021), Queen's University Belfast Vice Chancellor's Early Career Researcher (ECR) Prize (2022), and an Outstanding Associate Editor Award from the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (2023). I am also an all-career top 2% cited researcher (Mendeley-Scopus).

I am a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). I am a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the European Association on Antennas and Propagation and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I serve as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Nature Scientific Reports, and Remote Sensing.
