Patrick holds 1st Class Hons in BMEDSC Medical Science (QUB). He was the 2024/25 European Excellence Scholar in MSc Health Policy and Management (Distinction) at Trinity College Dublin. Patrick holds certificates in global health (Harvard University), digital marketing (University of Edinburgh), advanced legal research (Westlaw UK), human anatomy (University of Michigan), HIV medicine (NHS England), and data analytics (Google).

Patrick is a peer-reviewer for the British Medical Journal on topics of health policy and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I).

Achievements

Patrick is the current holder of the "Professional Development of Health Professions Educators" Award presented by the Irish Network for Healthcare Educators (INHED) and the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME). Patrick has won national conferences awards and been awarded MHLA and RSPH postnominals for his medical education and epidemiological research.
