Research Focus

My current research is primarily focused on education issues, particularly in the area of courses teaching programming to first uear students. Aspects of student engagement/retention and the impact that delivery, support and feedback has on this is a strong consideration.  Recent developments in the availability, application and impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence systems are currently under investigation.
