Rachel is a History PhD candidate funded by the Northern Bridge consortium. She completed her BA in 2018(First Class Honours) and MA in 2020 (with Distinction) at QUB.

Research Focus

Rachel is interested in Irish women's history, social history and the history of crime. Her PhD project is focused on female criminality in the six counties which would become Northern Ireland. She is focused on the period 1880 to the late 1930s and is interested in illuminating the lives of ordinary Irish women during this tumultous historical period.
