Research Focus

I am interested in the role of plant-based dietary patterns in the prevention of disease and in environmental sustainability. My Ph.D is focused on the role of plant protein sources and high quality plant-based diets in healthy muscle ageing. This will involve a range of methods including systematic review, cohort analysis, and development and conduct of a lifestyle intervention.

I graduated in 2017 with a first class honours in Geography (BSc) and again in 2018 with a distinction in Public Health (MPH), each from Queen's University Belfast. Following this, I spent some time working at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) where I was involved in qualitative research and stakeholder engagement within the EU Interreg ALICE project.
