Research Interests

I am an evolutionary microbiologist and UKRI Future Leaders Fellow. I often work at the interface of evolutionary biology and microbial ecology, with interests in: (1) antibiotic resistance evolution, (2) interactions in the microbiome, (3) the evolution of bacterial pathogens, and (4) the role of mobile genetic elements in shaping bacterial populations.
