Research Interests

I am interested in the role of modifiable lifestyle factors in brain ageing. My PhD investigates the relationship between diet and healthy brain ageing. The aim of this research is to improve our understanding of dietary influences on brain health across the life-course, to best inform the nature and timing of preventative strategies. This involves a variety of methods including systematic review, mixed methods survey and cohort and intervention analysis.

I graduated in July 2019 with a first class honours degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science (Human Nutrition) from the University of Central Lancashire. During this time, I also undertook two research internships, in relation to which I presented work at the Houses of Parliament in the Posters in Parliament event within the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (2019) and the Society of Academic Primary Care North Conference (2018).
