Research Focus

Rossita is studying for a PhD with the title: Identification and mitigation of Very Low Frequency Oscillations (VLFOs) on the all Ireland power system, under the supervision of Dr Xueqin Amy Liu and Dr Robert Best. Her current research is looking at PMU data analysis and the comparison of detection methods for VLFOs, taking algorithms and approaches from different industries and applying them to power systems data.

Rossita received her MEng in 2023 from Queen's University Belfast. Her final MEng project investigated black start solutions using distributed generation for the Northern Irish grid. This included simulation studies using PowerFactory DIGiSilent and culminated in a report with technical and regulatory recommendations.

Interests
