Personal profile

Teaching

I am a lecturer in Mathematics and Physics, Undergraduate Lab Co-ordinator as well as the EPS Academic Lead for the NUin study abroad program in collaboration with Northeastern University.

I have taught on the following modules

PHY/NEPH 1001 - Oscillations & Waves, Thermodynamics
NECA1020 - Calculus 2
MTH1021 - 3D Calculus

PHY1004/2004/3007 - Level 1, 2, 3 Labs

Research Interests

I have an extensive research track in Astrophysics, particularly observational Solar Physics. I have authored numerous speciality papers on the subject including high-impact articles in Nature Physics and contributions to review articles in Nature Methods Primer and Space Science Reviews. My research centres on wave activity in the solar atmosphere, detecting novel modes and tracking energy transport and dissipation. I have also contributed to the development of observing instruments such as the FRANCIS hyper-spectral imager.

I was a founding member of Predictive Sports Analytics (PSA) as part of a developing interest in advanced data analytics in professional and amateur sports. My particular interest is in constraining the physical load of players in collision sports and developing new metrics that better represent player exertion.
