Focusing on women in early Spanish Gothic, the supernatural, and the development of Romanticism following the Enlightenment.
Interests
Women and gender studies, marriage, feminine education, Spanish Enlightenment, 18th Century literature, the Gothic.
Achievements
Awarded the Bulletin of Spanish Studies William C. Atkinson Postgraduate Scholarship in 2024 to fund the pursuit of a Masters of Research at QUB.
Other
Funded by the Department of Economy to undertake my PhD project, 'Spanish Gothic in the twilight of Enlightenment- a Feminist Reading'. My MRes project 'Eudoxia- an Enlightened model for young female readers at the end of the Enlightenment?' focused on Pedro Montengón's Eudoxia, female education and marriage. Graduated with BA (Hons) French and Spanish, First Class Honours, in 2024.
