Research Focus

Sarah is a PhD student within the School of the Natural and Built Environemnt. She graduated from Queens' University Belfast with a First Class Honours BSc degree in Civil Engineering. 

Her undergraduate research in Geotechnical Engineering focused on assessing soil-pipeline interactions under increasingly variable climatic conditions. This has lead to her current PhD research which explores a novel approach to ground improvement, focusing on the use of granular meta-materials as an innovative soil stabilisation technique.
