Personal profile

I am a NMC registered teacher and have completed my PhD, MSc. (Advancing Nursing Practice) and PGCert in Learning, Teaching and Assessment in Higher Education.  I currently teach at both pre-registration and post–registration level.

I will be acting as deputy year 1 lead for September 2023 undergraduate nursing and am also module co-coordinator for Public Health Perspectives and Preparation For Degree modules. I teach across the year one undergraduate nursing programme and as well as into the Specialist Practice in Oncology post graduate programme and GEMS programme. I currently support several Masters level dissertation students and also take part in Inter Professional Education simulation sessions.

I serve as a personal tutor to 25 pre-registration students to provide support and guidance throughout their three years on the programme.

I act as a link lecturer for health visiting and district nursing placements around NI and offer support to both students and placement areas to ensure that the required learning needs are met, and audits of these areas are completed.
