Shonagh Joice is a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Professor Sean O'Connell and Professor Diane Urquhart. Shonagh achieved her BA(Hons)(First Class) and her MSc (Distinction) from the Unversity of Strathclyde.
Research Focus
Shonagh's research explores women's experiences of shipyard decline in Glasgow and Belfast, 1970-2000. By utilising oral history, her research studies familial experiences of job precarity, redundancy, and changing gendered roles due to deindustrialisation.
