With the increasing availability of data across the world, there are opportunities in the automotive industry to leverage more value from the information streamed through telematics services. However, due to the size of the data sets involved, traditional data analytics cannot be used. This research aims to bridge this gap by using Big Data analytics to create methods that increase the understanding of the underlying nature of telematics data from new powertrain architectures.
