Particulars

I am a Lecturer in Finance at Queen’s Management School, Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). I joined QUB in Sep 2021 after working as a Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher for FINTECHNEXT at University College Cork in the field of foreign exchange from Sep 2019 to Aug 2021. 

Achievements

I graduated with a PhD in Finance from QUB in 2019. My PhD thesis titled “The Future of Equity Release Schemes in the UK” investigated demand and supply issues relating to housing equity release products and suggested future policy implications. I hold an MSc in Risk Management and Financial Regulation with Distinction from QUB and a BA (Honours) in Mathematics with First Class from the University of Delhi, India. I received a Special Research Scholarship to pursue a PhD degree and an International PGT Scholarship for an MSc, all from QUB. 

Research Interests

My research interests include housing equity release, equity release mortgages, retirement finance, risk management and currency trading strategies.

Other

Industry Experience: Before pursuing academia, I was an Assistant Manager in the Actuarial Department at Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance in Mumbai, India.
