Research Statement
I am currently undertaking a PhD research project entitled "Processing and Heat Treatment of High-Entropy Alloys for Hydrogen Storage Applications." This study will involve the preparation of high-entropy alloy coatings and powders through laser cladding and high-energy ball milling techniques. The primary focus will be on analyzing the hydrogen storage performance and microstructure of these alloys.
This research will be conducted in close collaboration with the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen's University Belfast. The objective is to enhance the hydrogen storage properties of magnesium-containing high-entropy alloys by optimizing various methods and parameters. Particular emphasis will be placed on assessing the working environment and cycle life of these materials.
Furthermore, the project will actively investigate the practical applications and economic feasibility of high-entropy alloys in hydrogen storage. By exploring these aspects, this research aims to contribute to the development of efficient and cost-effective hydrogen storage solutions.
