Dr Yi Ge’s recent and current research interests and activities, with a focus on the interdisciplinary area at the interfaces of Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Science, Chemistry and Nanotechnology, mainly include:
1) Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine;
2) Molecular Imprinting and Smart Materaials;
3) Biosensors and Advanced Sensing Technology;
4) Theranostics and Drug Delivery.
Open to PhD and MRes/MPhil applications in all of the above fields.
Research activity per year
Dr Yi Ge has extensive research experience in academia and pharmaceutical industry, and have received comprehensive trainings in different areas of pharmaceutical science, including pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, therapeutics and medicinal chemistry. He also has actively engaged with some other related research areas, such as nanomedicine, advanced sensor technology, smart materials and medical diagnostics & devices, throughout his studies and careers. His research further involves in a great deal of collaboration with Institute/University, NHS/hospital and industrial in the fields of pharmaceutical science and biomedical science, both nationally and internationally.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
