Yun’s research interests are in Accounting, Finance, Governance and Sustainability, especially:
- Accounting and Governance (corporate governance and financial reporting – e.g. board diversity and tax avoidance);
- Accountability, Ethics and Sustainability (CSR, ESG, Sustainable accounting/finance and Accountability in AI); and
- Corporate Finance.
Yun has several years of teaching and research experience in academic accounting and finance programmes in the UK higher education. Yun previously worked in private company and banking sector. Before joining QMS, Yun worked at Southampton Business School supervising and examining MSc dissertations. Yun has co-ordinated, lectured/tutored, contributed to, assessed/examined Accounting modules, including Fundamentals of Management Accounting and Accounting and Finance for Non-Specialists.
Yun is the Member of CSEAR and the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and has presented research at national conferences (e.g., BAFA and CSEAR). Yun is an ad hoc reviewer for journals such as Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies and International Review of Financial Analysis. Yun’s publications have been published in top journals such as International Review of Financial Analysis (ABS 3*).
Yun is teaching the following modules now:
ACC1002 Accounting for Non-specialists;
ACC3042 Contemporaty Issues in Accounting (focusing on Sustainability reporting).
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
