Personal profile

Research Focus

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), holding a Ph.D. in clinical pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University, with over four years of experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics. At Queen’s, my primary research involves analysing multi-omics data from the Northern Ireland Cohort for the Longitudinal Study of Ageing (NICOLA) cohort, with a specific focus on investigating the genetic variations in individuals with diabetic kidney disease. A key aspect of my work involves studying new-onset diabetes after
transplantation (NODAT), a critical complication in solid organ transplant recipients. By identifying genetic risk factors associated with NODAT, I aim to improve patient outcomes in post-transplant care. My broader research interests span kidney health research, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Molecular Epidemiology, Genomics, COVID-19, Cancer Research, Immunogenomics, Immunology, and Public Health, with a strong emphasis on integrating data-driven methods to advance our understanding of complex disease mechanisms.
