National Museums NI (NMNI) recently uncovered a small, but significant, collection of architecture drawings with limited records that must be digitized. Additionally, there are unaccessioned plans related to the Ulster Museum building and ephemera/drawings within the history department.
This project focuses on William Henry Lynn’s undocumented architecture-related works in the NMNI collection.
We are scoping ways to digitise these works and drawings, and collaborate with NMNI archivists to make them available to the public.
The project, organised in collaboration with NMNI, will explore rare drawings by William Henry Lynn, architect of Queen’s Lynn library. It will address: • digitisation and documentation of the works; • research links to other collections; • creative opportunities for audience engagement.
