EEECS Paper Award

  • Mohamed, Ahmed (Recipient) & Koohi Esfahani, Mohsen (Recipient)

Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)

Publishing research findings through peer reviewed conference papers and journal articles is a cornerstone of the scientific process. For a PhD student, peer-reviewed publications are an indispensable, externally-verified assessment of the quality of their work, that takes the sting out of annual progress review. Attending a viva voce examination with good, peer-reviewed publications is clearly an easier experience than without. Moreover, the School recognizes that some of the finest research performed in the School is the product of the effort and ingenuity of our PhD students.

In order to recognize the importance of the PhD student cohort towards the research undertaken in the School and ECIT, the School Postgraduate Research Committee has organized the EEECS Paper Award. This Award will be given to PhD students who lead a piece of research that is published in high-quality venues (as described in the regulations) and consists of a certificate and a financial reward.
