This national campaign by the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences is for the advancement of mathematics for innovation, economic growth, and education. The “Maths can take you anywhere” project is a series of 23 pieces profiling relatable role models from across the breadth of the mathematical sciences community in the UK.
During the launch event, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer took time to read the posters profiling our different role models.
Copies of the campaign poster and documents were sent to all state secondary schools and sixth form colleges across the UK.
This campaign aligns with broader efforts by the Campaign for Mathematical Sciences which stresses the importance of mathematics to the UK’s economic and scientific ambitions.
