Highly competitive Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship at the School of English at Trinity College Dublin, a capture which totals upwards of €90,000. The main output of this research is a critical study titled Outside the Imaginative Estate: Language, Canon and Aesthetics in Northern Irish Poetry which examines the work and legacies of misrepresented figures from Belfast and the north, such as Joseph Campbell, Alice Milligan and Padraig Fiacc.
