In 2021 I was nominated for a Staff Excellence Award, Outstanding Leadership category. The nomination read: 'Dr Majury, for several years now, has proven to be an exceptional leader as the DE for the undergraduate courses of the SNBE. He provides timely information, helps staff when they need guidance, looks for the right answers for the questions we might have, creating an excellent bridge between the educators and the management team of the school and university. He does not turn away from helping others when the request is not within the definition of his role. His calm and wise character particularly paid off during the pandemic when we needed mature guidance more than ever. It is very clear that Niall likes and is proud of being an educator and being a member of the Queen's community. We, as SNBE staff, are lucky to have such an outstanding director.'
