I was elected President of the EAAS on 21 April 2016, the world’s largest American Studies association (circa 4500-5000 members) across 22 member associations in 35 countries. As the youngest – and first Irish – President in the EAAS’s 66-year history, this honour underlines the unrivalled position I hold in international leadership in my field across Europe.
