The award is to fund an early-stage pedagogical research which deals with the topical issue of online exams, and looks at innovative approaches to maintain the integrity of assessment. Specifically, the project aims to examine the impact of element of surprise in preserving exam integrity when common monitoring protocols (like those available in on-site exam setting) or other paid outsourced services cannot be implemented.
