QUB Teaching Award 2017

This Award is presented to Dr Paul Mensink from the School of Biological Sciences in the Rising Stars category. Dr Mensink is an enthusiastic and student-centred teacher who motivates his students with an energetic and engaging learning style. He is responsive to student feedback and has developed a highly effective blended learning approach. This includes a range of video resources that his students can access at their own pace, and a standalone website which provides real-time support through an online community of teachers and peers, and encourages active engagement with the learning material.
