Description

The purpose of this visit will be to develop research collaborations in the area of older people, dementia and palliative care.

John Hopkins School of Nursing is amongst the top 5 nursing research institutes in the world. The school has a number of research strands of interest to my research area including; older people, palliative care and public health.

In particular, the Centre for Innovative Care in Aging advances novel behavioural interventions to enhance the health, well-being, and aging of diverse adults and their families in various settings including home and community. This involves developing, evaluating, translating, and implementing programs and educating health and human service professionals and students in behavioural intervention research. To enhance intervention responsiveness, the Centre uses new models, study designs, frameworks, and approaches to shorten the intervention development pipeline and accelerate translation of effective interventions into practice to meet the needs of diverse aging populations.
