RCUK Public Engagement With Research Catalysts Scheme: Inspiring Lives: Creating Futures, SUPI Project. Co-I for Queen's Creative Technology Team - 2012 - 2016

Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)

Description

As part of the RCUK SUPI, led by Prof Tom Millar, I lead the Creative Technoloiges Team with Sonic Arts and EEECS. With this team I have organised many highly visible public engagement and knowledge transfer activities on behalf of Queen’s, having worked with schools in the Magherafelt and Dungannon Learning Areas over the last few years. This outreach work brought over 400 children to Queen's since 2012 and has allowed me to make many essential networking contacts with other local community groups and industry partners (Belfast Children's Festival and Science Festival for example). The funding has been extended to the end of 2016.
