The CRGC Research Grant provides me with the opportunity to travel to the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet Consolidated Archives in St Louis to research the role of the CSJs in the development of Chicago and the provision of social care, both as and for fellow Irish immigrants, and for wider Chicago society. This research contributes to my Irish Women, Religion, and Public Belonging in the City research project.
