Awarded to Etain Tansey (£3000), Sean Roe (£3000) and Chris Johnson (£4000) (PI). This award recognises innovation in physiology teaching. The Physiological Society awards grants of up to £10,000 for a 12 month period, to enable awardees to carry out a piece of educational research or to develop an educational resource that is relevant to physiology. The proposed project must support physiology teaching of a novel nature. Each application is assessed based on the quality and feasibility of the proposal, the calibre of the applicants and the impact of the research/resource on physiology education, including the potential for the work to be disseminated broadly and applied widely. Our project will investigate the usefulness of ultrasound technology in the teaching of cardiovascular physiology.
