National recognition of doctoral supervision practice awarded by the UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE) through its Research Supervision Recognition Programme. Awarded following assessment of an evidence-based reflective account by a two-person peer-review panel against all ten criteria of the UKCGE Good Supervisory Practice Framework.
The full Recognised Research Supervisor award recognises practice across the doctoral journey, including supervisory relationships, research project support, feedback and progress monitoring, researchers’ personal and professional development, completion and final examination, research dissemination, and continuing reflection on and enhancement of supervisory practice. It provides external recognition of good practice in research supervision and the support and development of doctoral researchers.
