US-UK Fulbright Scholarship - All Disciplines Scholar Award

Prize: Fellowship awarded competitively

Description

US-UK Fulbright Scholarship awarded 2018-19 to introduce service user involvement to the US Social Work Curriculum. During this time, I worked with The Silver School of Social Work, New York University and The College of Health Sciences, Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee. At the conclusion of my Fulbright research, not only was service user involvement in the curriculum successfully piloted in both of these universities but furthermore, The Council for Social Work Education (CSWE), the regulatory body for Social Work in the USA, supported my leadership of a Curriculum Guide to introduce service user involvement to the wider curriculum in the US. This is currently in development.
