I was awarded a William Penney Fellowship from AWE Aldermaston, worth over £660K in total, in recognition of my work in laboratory astrophysics. The Fellowship was initially awarded for the period 2003 - 2007, but was subsequently renewed for the period 2007 - 2011. This was the first time (to my knowledge) that a William Penney Fellowship had been renewed.
