Winning Team Member: Voluntary/Charitable School of the Year.

Citation: School of Nursing & Midwifery The School of Nursing & Midwifery students and Staff support various charities including Macmillan, Nepal 2015, the Romania International Elective Placement Project, St Vincent de Paul NI, NI Hospice, MS Society, Diabetes UK and Cancer Focus. Over £20,000 has been raised through various fundraising efforts including the Head of Schools Ice Bucket Challenge and the Lap of the Lough. Annually the School runs a Women's Aid Christmas Appeal to collect gifts for Women and children residing in refuges. The School also provides Health assessment Walk-In Clinics for members of the public and delivers free dementia Awareness Training Sessions in partnership with the Alzheimer's Society.
