Description
This two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership - to the value of £135,449 - involved a strategic collaboration between QUB reseachers and Ove Arup Planning Consultants. The project (2016-18) was dedicated to generating an interact app to enable the effective identification of city resilience challenges. The success of the project in Belfast - through a piloting of the app with the City Council - is manifested in roll out in other cities around the UK and internationally where Ove Arup are active. Instructively, this project has involved significant knowledge transfer from the university to the company in order to improve its compeitiveness in the global market place. Moreover, the findings from this project have fed into research-led teaching within the Planning discipline.
