Abstract

In this paper, we describe a fluorimeter-based, closed-tube, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay for the detection and quantification of the mRNA of porcine interleukin 1α (IL1α) and interleukin 2 (IL2) cytokines in peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) using melting curve analysis and compare it to a standard PCR performed in a block-based thermocycler.
