Funding Information:
The Northern Ireland Clinical Research Network (NICRN) (Critical Care) was set up at the end of 2007. It is one of the eleven themed networks within the NICRN that is funded by the Research and Development Office in Northern Ireland and is part of the wider UK Clinical Research Network. The funding supports high-quality critical care research by employing and training research support staff (e.g. to assist in data collection, participant recruitment and data input) to assist with research projects that are adopted by the network.
