Abstract

The use of the endoscopic approach in cases of non-traumatic optic neuropathy is well documented in the literature. This approach can also be of benefit in cases of visual loss from skull base meningiomas directly compressing the nerve. Specifically, the transnasal endoscopic approach affords excellent visualisation of the orbital apex and optic canal with minimal patient morbidity.
