Abstract
In this paper, a structure for DC-DC converters with soft-switching capability is introduced and completely investigated. In this topology, by implementing some additional components, soft-switching performance is obtained for the power MOSFET. Furthermore, the reverse recovery related power losses have been solved completely. In this paper, at first, this structure is introduced and it's operational modes are illustrated completely. Finally, for verifying the claimed advantages, a 80W concept of this topology is modelled in PSCAD and the obtained waveforms are investigated. Morover, a 80W experimental prototype is built and the soft-switching waveforms are presented.
