A terahertz Fourier transform spectrometer with no moving part

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a simple THz Fourier transform spectrometer with no moving part. The structure is based on Fabry-Perot interferometer in which one of the reflecting surfaces is inclined away from the other to make an angle with it. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed structure for extracting the source spectrum through analytical formulation, and ray tracing simulations. We examine the performance for both monochromatic and broadband sources with more than 20% relative bandwidth.
