Abstract
This chapter reviews the various determinants of adolescents' food choices which include individual or intrapersonal influences, social environmental influences, physical environmental influences and macrosystem or societal influences. Also, psychological studies that have explored individual and social influences are selectively reviewed. The influence of gender on teenage vegetarianism and food choices in general is discussed as well.
