Abstract
As Higher Education staff, we are regularly being called upon to "embed" the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our teaching. This article discusses the problematic nature of embedding, and presents an overview of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a possible framework for an embedding process.
