Conceived by Ali FitzGibbon as an interactive dance/music performance for early years (0 - 4 years) and parents/carers, Baby Rave was the first of its kind in the world. Created at the Belfast Waterfront Hall (now ICC) as part of the Young at Art Festival and developed with DJ/music producer Lyndon Stephens, choreographer Jennifer Jordan, education facilitator Monica Callan and designer Liz Cullinane. It performed regularly for audiences/participants of up to 400 people at a time and has been presented in Belfast, Dublin, Galway, Edinburgh, Leicester, Norwich. It has been experienced by thousands of infants and adults. It was the first international guest performance to be invited to the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2008 and the first production for young audiences from Northern Ireland to be presented at the New Victory Theatre, New York.
