Abstract

This volume, composed of ten original chapters and three award-wining short screenplays, explores the current moment in horror cinema, bringing together experience and expertise from academia, journalism, and the film industry, to consider what female-directed horror is and might be. It is no longer a secret that women are a part of horror—they always have been, so we can make the protagonist of the story of horror female instead of male.
