Abstract

This paper discusses the discrepancies encountered from the results of alternate standard test procedures for determining the transient quantities of synchronous machines. also highlighted are the particular problems experienced when conducting the tests on small brushless machines. The work described is part of a project to design an automatic alternator test cell.
