N2 - This brief document is written primarily for civil society (also sometimes known as third-sector, nongovernmental, charitable, community or voluntary) organisations working with people with lived experience of higher risk of discrimination and prejudice, in addition to higher risk of poor mental health. It aims to help these groups engage more effectively in health economic research and policymaking, rather than being ignored. It provides a brief overview on the importance of the economic case for action for better mental health, in addition to determining, what works for whom and in what context. It has been informed by a workshop held with representatives of civil society organisations that support seldom-heard groups.
