Abstract

An examination of judicial decisions in abortion related court cases in Northern Ireland and what these sentences implied about attitudes towards abortion provision. The paper also considers how an abortion provider’s status in society enabled them to make certain kinds of pleas in court and what impact that status might have had on the sentences they received.
