Digital release of double bass solo album

During my residency at the Bogong Centre for Sound Culture in December 2018, a number of double bass improvisations were documented. Recorded by Madelynne Cornish, the performances took place in two very different acoustic environments: The cavernous hall of the dam regulating the inflow of water to Lake Guy and a narrow corridor in the Bogong Power Station.

Each track on this release presents a unique listening perspective on the intersection of two distinct ecologies; the sonic environment of man-made structures surrounded and inhabited by a quite vocal fauna, and that of the double bass, this low-frequency epitome of western classical music.
