Abstract

Examining both visible and invisible data to determine carbon usage, water and energy profiles, Decarbonising Heritage develops themes, principles, precedents, typologies and propositions to seek to decarbonise popular tourist heritage destinations in both Egypt and Northern Ireland. This discussion of the research is organised around four architectural themes: global landscapes, building landscapes, things that no longer exist in their original form, and elemental forms.
